Local notice board:

On joining the forum you'll find a number of different notice boards with one or more topics opened for discussion on each. All except one are national and every member in Great Britain can read or post on them.

The one which is different is that which is described with a town name – your nearest town. Only you and those in your vicinity can see and have access to this board. Its function is different – for things which are of interest mainly to you and your local colleagues. For example in our own locality we post up the minutes of meetings of our B&B and Guest House Association.

The type of issues which lend themselves for posting on this notice board:

• Restaurants and pubs which you recommend to guests
• Taxi services
• Where to buy local/fresh/organic produce
• Warning about unwelcome guests
• Good electricians/plumbers/PAT testers
• Can someone lend me a cupful of sugar? !!

Many towns in Great Britain already have formal associations or informal groups of accommodation providers. Such associations can have an exclusive and free notice board to which only their members have access.
