F.A.Q. about joining the availability scheme

Do I need my own website to be eligible to join this scheme?
Yes, for these reasons

  • you will be motivated to update your availability database if it is displayed on your own website too.
  • your website contains essential information to help the enquirer
  • you will be contributing to the local marketing effort

How often do I need to update my availability?
As soon as possible after a type of room is no longer available. It's in your own interest because customers will complain if your website shows availability and you don't have it.

How easy is it to update my availability?
Very! Click to open availability calendar; click to update a room; click to save. (30 seconds?)

I don't like the sound of this person on the phone - how can I turn people away when the system says I have rooms available?
You've handled this sort of situation before. For example, you might say just say that you've not yet updated the system and you're full. There are plenty of polite excuses.

I have lots of rooms can I show the individual availability for them?
Yes – we've designed this system with five room types: single; double; twin; family and suite. You can have for example two singles or three doubles and a single. What happens is you will have a number appear after the availability symbol indicating how many rooms are still available.

I'm not keen on displaying all my rooms – can the system cope with this?
No problem – if for example you have three doubles, just simply show double availability. Then you only need to update the system when all three rooms are taken.

Is there a money-back guarantee?
Yes. If the unlikely event the scheme does not suit you, you can have your money back within the first 14 days from sign up, no questions asked.

What happens if I do not update my availability database regularly?
It's in your own interest to update regularly and it's easy. You can update from any computer, anywhere in the world, which has internet access. If you don't update, you'll cause annoyance to your potential customers and your colleagues in your locality. If you persist, we'll ask you to leave the scheme and refund the remaining part of your subscription with no hard feelings.
