Personalised email address:

The facility exists to have an e-mail address to match your domain name. Thus if your establishment is called Conker Trees Guest House and you choose the domain name conkertrees.co.uk for your website, you can have mary@conkertrees.co.uk for an e-mail address.

Customise it!

This email address is hosted on our reliable server called Phil in Aylesbury but accessed with the use of your existing ISP (internet service provider). There are advantages in having a second address:

• If the email service of your ISP goes down for two weeks (as recently happened with Tiscali) you still have your other email address operational
• You may consider that mary@conkertrees.co.uk is more personalised or customised for use on your stationery than conkertrees@tiscali.co.uk
• You may consider that mary@conkertrees.co.uk adds a certain je ne sais quois to your emails when you write to customers by email.

Good email clients such as Outlook, Outlook Express and Thunderbird work relatively seamlessly with multiple email addresses.

Spam Protection:

Our server is protected by SpamAssassin™. There is no absolute guarantee that you won't get spam but it works reasonably well.

Two of the main reasons that people get spam:

• their email address is visibly shown on the internet
• their email address appears in the code of a contact form of an accommodation advertising site

We do not expose the email addresses of our colleagues either visibly or in the code of contact forms either on their website or their advertisement on www.bedbreakfastavailability.co.uk.
