Try searching simply for 'bed breakfast' in UK pages on your search engine. Currently you'll probably find www.bedbreakfastavailability.co.uk on page 1 of MSN and page 2 of Google. That's not bad for a site that was launched around a year ago. See how it compares on this search term with your favourite advertisers for which you pay a fee for an entry.

Unlike most portal sites it has a dedicated page for each town or significantly-sized habitation. It has text about the town. Each page has its own URL (address as seen in the address bar of your browser). Each page is capable of attracting PageRank in its own right.

For example search for 'bed breakfast Bourne End' on Google. You'll find www.bedbreakfastavailability.co.uk/bourne_end.php beaten out of first place by www.hollands-farm.co.uk. We don't mind as Hollands Farm is a colleague! We put up the page for Bourne End, population 5500 in Buckinghamshire, at the same time as constructing the Hollands Farm website.
